When you log in, you can change the password and username to the one you prefer. You only need to ensure that the details you feed in are easy for you to remember but hard for anyone to guess.

When you cannot access your router, consider doing the following.

– Ensure your router is connected to the power and the LED light is on.

– Can you see the light named WAN on your router? Please confirm if the light is on. The internet light is usually green or white depending on the type of router you have. If the light is off or is red is an indication that your router does not have an internet connection.

– Verify that the Wi-Fi light is green, and blinking. The common Wi-Fi label is WLAN, 2.4G, wireless, or 5G.

– Try switching off your router for a few minutes and disconnecting the cables. Remember to put off your device as well. When you restart the router and device, give them a few minutes to re-boot.

– The other option is to use an Ethernet cable to link your laptop or desktop computer to the router. This step will help you identify whether the challenge is a Wi-Fi issue or a signal challenge. 

Take the one end of your Ethernet cable, link it to your router and connect the other end to your computer. Has your internet connection resumed? If yes, it is definite that you are experiencing a Wi-Fi issue that you need to troubleshoot.

– Suppose you still don’t get your internet connection back after linking your Ethernet cable direct to your device and router, consider using a different device. When this remedy fails, you should troubleshoot internet signals.

– Finally, ensure you login in with the correct username and password.

How to troubleshoot your Wi-Fi Router

There are different ways of fixing Wi-Fi issues. Check the below analysis for more information.

– Switch off your router and device for a few minutes, switch them on and wait for them to load.

– Try interchanging the Wi-Fi band. Suppose you are using a 5 GHz switch to 2.4 GHz. 5 GHz is faster but is weak when you are very far from your router. 2.4 GHz is a bit slow, but it is efficient even when you are far away from your router.

– Click the DNS menu.

– Select delete host cache.

– Put your device on Airplane mode and switch off the flight mode after a minute.

– Put off your device, and reboot it after a few minutes. The cache will clear automatically.

Your computer can sort out your issue by following the below steps.

– Go to the start button.

– Click on settings.

– Go to update and security.

– Click on troubleshooting.
