For the ease of access to EPFO services by the employee/employer, the Government of India has developed an Application named UMANG. This Application can use to avail all the EPFO services offered online. Are you aware that there are many services provided by the UMANG App ? Some of them are Passbook, EPF Balance check, claim status check, etc.

UMANG App – The aim of the UMANG App is to provide access to numerous Government services through a single Application. EPF service is a major part of Indian Government services, so it is included in the App. The App wants to reach to the maximum people, hence it is made available in multiple regional languages.
How to download the UMANG App?
UMANG App is available for both Android users and iPhone users. Those who are using the Android phone can download it from the play store. The link is – UMANG – Apps on Google Play. Those who are using iPhone can download it from the Apple App store.
How to Register on UMANG App?
To avail any EPF service through the UMANG App, one needs to register on the App’s. The process of registration is quite simple and is discussed below: –
(a) First, download the App from the concerned App Store.
(b) Install, the App and click on the ‘New User’ option.
(c ) Now, you will ask to enter your mobile number. Please enter the mobile number. You can remain assured that your mobile number will not be used for any other reason than providing the EPF services.
(d) Now, click on the ‘Proceed’ tab.
(e ) You will then be ask to enter the OTP already sent on your mobile number. Enter it and set your MPIN.
(f) MPIN needs to confirm by entering it again. Enter it again for confirmation. In the end, click ‘Confirm’.
(g) Now, you need to link your Aadhar Number. If you want to link it, enter the number. If for some reason, you don’t have an Aadhaar number, you can skip this step by clicking on the ‘Skip’ tab.
(h) You will see a ‘Profile Information Screen’ now. Enter your profile details here. After entering the information correctly, save the profile by clicking on the ‘Save and proceed’ button.
(i) Now, the registration process is complete. You will be redirect’s to the home screen.
